I don’t know where Gstaad is either, but that’s how I gauge exoticism. The harder it is to pronounce/place, the more glamorous it is.
I love the idea of a lavender field.

I LOVE the ending of The American President. Swoon.

I like the connection to your own life – and yes, when I’m curled up next to my husband at the end of the day, it does feel like I have a rose garden. (Not to mention my wonderful little patio garden – herbs and tomatoes and geraniums – which is still hanging on bravely.)

I can just smell that lavender. It makes me want a garden (or, you know, a patch of dirt of any sort). Maybe someday I’ll have my own field. Probably I’ll just have to enjoy life anyway.
