I Like People This Good at Thank You’s

If you haven’t heard of Kelly Corrigan – if you haven’t listened to me the other times I talked about her – watch this video*, and meet her now. She’s a beautiful writer – saying all those things the rest of us want to say, only better.

The video is for Mother’s Day, and you’ll love it no matter which side of motherhood you’re on – the giver, the receiver, or both. Here’s a quote from it to give you an idea how very much you want to hear the rest:

Thank you for letting me sink all the way into you, even though I started as your stepchild.

*Email subscribers will probably have to click the blog title in your email to view the video.

  1. Okay. I am weeping. Out loud, in need of Kleenex. Bear in mind that I have a teensy virus and being sick always makes me especially emotional and I just got that email from your brother in Wyoming with his first turkey from the mountains and I had to cancel out on taking a couple of granddaughters to their first ball practice AND this picture of one of the most victorious moments in our entire lives always choses me up. But… I think I’d be weeping anyway!

    Considering myself wildly blessed,
    your mom

  2. Awesome and inspirational! (I loved the way she said, “Crazy” … that’s totally the way I say it! :-))

  3. That touched me deeply! And she said it beautifully!

  4. I always love her writing. And her delivery. Great!
