They all say it: I’ve worked so hard for this, I’ve dreamed of this since I was six years old, last year I watched this show from a bar across the street….. I watch them say it from the couch in my pajamas, and I raise a glass, because I hear ya, sister friend. There are way more bars across the street than there is room on that stage.

Every Tuesday night, after I have faced an entire Monday and the First Day That is Not Monday and therefore basically a holiday, I collapse exhausted in front of our television for the one and only night each week that I get control of the remote. I go to my DVR list and push play on the previous night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. And I am surprised and delighted and deeply moved every single time.

Once upon a time, Charity sent me a link to an article on The Onion that basically treats the story of Fox Books in You’ve Got Mail as a true story.
